West Branch School's Little Red Schoolhouse is located in the Newberry section of Williamsport. With its unique style and homey atmosphere, WBS has a charm like no other school in the area. Classes are facilitated in a "one room schoolhouse" setting where all learning levels and ages mix together to enhance learning opportunities and the overall school community.

The school is licensed K-8 and class sizes are small in order to facilitate the highest excellence in teaching and learning. Smaller classes also create an atmosphere of acceptance where diversity is celebrated and conflicts are handled in a way that helps students to learn empathy, conscientious decision-making, and proactive problem solving. Each child at WBS is considered "gifted" and learns at his or her own level. This approach to education enables teachers to capitalize on the students' strengths and to seek out styles of learning that will encourage a student to excel.

Visit and observe a nine year-old rehearsing for a lead role in a Shakespeare play, performed on a professional stage in downtown Williamsport. I want to express my deep appreciation to the Sandy Elion Retirement Party Committee for a wonderfully detailed, superbly fun, truly surprising, and exceptionally rewarding retirement party. It turned out to be a terrific West Branch event with all current and past generations represented. I also want to thank the many present and past students, parents and friends who attended and traveled to the get-together! You really made my evening sparkle.

Summer Camps at West Branch School

Enrolling now for WBS Summer Branches (Summer Camps). Camps begin the week of June 18th and run through the week of July 16th. There are half day and full day camps available. We have a variety of fun camps for children ages 4 - 12! Camps include:

West Branch School Fair and Music Festival
Mother's Day weekend, Saturday, May 12th, Noon until 8pm

Come help us celebrate our 40th school year for WBS at our annual Fair and Music Festival! There will be Music, Arts & Crafts, a Kids Area full of fun and games, Food for everyone including our famous smoked shad and gourmet salads, lots of delicious desserts such as our decadent strawberries and creme as well as gourmet items for you to take home for Mother's Day! Bring the whole family for what will surely be a fun day for all!
